Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Assist in food preparation tasks.
Assist in cooking and baking under the supervision of chefs or cooks.
Set up and maintain workstations according to food safety standards.
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils by hand or using dishwashers.
Store food items properly and rotate stock to maintain freshness.
Receive and unpack food deliveries.
Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines at all times.
Follow instructions from chefs, cooks, and kitchen supervisors.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff members to ensure efficient workflow.
Requirements
Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform under pressure.
Physical stamina and endurance to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
